FINAL POST

Final Post

I have learned many things in this class this semester. I have enjoyed working online as oppose to in class. One of the things that I liked about this class is the aspect of doing any assignment any time you wanted. All of the assignments of the semester were basically laid out and we could work on the assignments any time we wanted. By taking this course online I also experienced that I got my work done much faster than usual. Usually, when I work on my assignments it takes my much longer to write a paper than it did in this course. I think the reason for this was that I had my mind made up that every Sunday from 12-5 I was going to work on the papers for this class. I was able to manage my time very nicely in this course and that is why I think I was able to finish all my assignments on time. To be honest with you I wasn’t even going to take this course, but than my sister advised me to take this online course because it was very helpful to my learning abilities. She was right now that I have taken this course one of the most important things that I have learned is how to maximize my time to do efficient work. I feel that if I had not taken this course I wouldn’t have learned how to capitalize on one of the most important things in life, which is time.
As far as for blogs are concerned, I feel that was one of the strongest parts of this course because we could share our work with classmates and get their opinions on how to improve our papers. I also got a different perspective from reading other students essays and that showed as to how I can improve my papers. After this class I may start putting different types of post on there like posts about video games and how to play them correctly to maximize your profits. This has been a great online course and I have enjoyed it and the professor was great as well, and I would definitely recommend online courses to anyone who is hesitant about taking them

Microserfs Reading Response

Microserfs Reading Response
5. Karla says, "computers will continue to be developed . . . an 'entity is going to be created that has its own intelligence." What is Karla saying about artificial intelligence (AI)? What are your perspectives on AI?
In order to answer this question clearly, we must first define, what exactly artificial intelligence means. The source that I used to acquire the defintion of this phrase is known as dictionary.com. According to dictionary.com artificial intelligence means the capacity of a computer to perform operations analogous to learning and decision making in humans, as by an expert system, a program for CAD or CAM, or a program for the perception and recognition of shapes in computer vision systems. According to Karla’s opinion, Karla thinks that an entity will be created that has its own intelligence” (Coupland 34). Karla is saying that soon computers and other break through science projects will have minds of their own. Karla is basically saying that the big science projects that people are working on, whether they be robots or other mechanical engineered versions of humans will eventually start to self develop their own minds that humans have helped them get started by creating them. Karla also made a point as to how she thinks computers will use aspects like “copy and paste” for example to develop their learning’s about their environments, so they can be better adapted to survive as an elite species. In my opinion this is what Karla means, when she is referring to artificial intelligence. On this planet many people would agree with her opinions on artificial intelligence theory that she has created and I am one of those people. I believe that if we keep advancing on the computer technology, we will one day have created a species that may have become superior to us. Many people have many different opinions on computer minds taking over the planet, and everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but this is my take on artificial intelligence.
2. What do you think Coupland is saying when he includes random information, random keyboard hits and snatches of gossip amongst the journal and e-mails?
Coupland’s work is different from many other literature that I have come across over the course of my studies, because in his work there are many random information’s, random keyboard hits and snatches. In my opinion he just writes whatever comes to his mind. When I am working on papers for classes, I get random urges that make we want to just start typing random stuff to satisfy my find and I think this is exactly what Coupland goes through. If Coupland has a thought he just goes with it without taking time to think it through. According to Coupland he does random things in his work to state what comes to his mind in words (Coupland 45). When Coupland goes on and writes random things he is just showing us another side of himself. In other words, when you read his work your getting the whole picture as to what kind of a person he is. Many people may find his work funny or bizarre or just completely out of the ordinary. Personally, I think Coupland’s work brings an ease to the mind of the reader, because when someone reads his work its not all serious and direct to the point. He has a way of putting words into sentences that make the reader feel comfortable, when they are reading his work. As you are reading his work he has one-word sentences that in my opinion express, what he has been going through lately. For example, on one of his pages he has words random words that state “CNN, airbags, birth and etc… In my opinion he had watched CNN and had an encounter with airbags and birth lately. I feel that overall, Coupland would be a great person if I ever had a chance to meet him, because you could explore his mind and come to a conclusion as to “why he is the way he is.”

3. Why do you think Coupland's characters speak in computer jargon, and use technical expressions to describe their lives and environment? How does this compare to your experiences of the workplace and home? What effect does this way of speaking have on others?

In order to answer this question one has to look into the lifestyle of the Coupland characters. As I read Coupland’s work, I did notice that many of his characters used unordinary language to talk with one another. It seemed as if they had a secret language that only they could understand. But if one were to examine this situation, they would realize that their language is not unordinary at all due to the circumstances the characters are in. If you had spent many years working in a field with the same people, wouldn’t you adapt to each other and start using words that are easier and can get the message across with one word rather than a sentence. I think the character’s talk in that language, because it helps them save time and get more work done. When you working for ten or more hours a day and you come home and have to talk to your kids, eventually your children will notice that as time goes by your language will change with the way you talk to your children, because your so used to the talking in some other form that you use at the workplace. If you found a stable job and attend it regualry that job will become your way of life and that’s what exactly has happened to the Coupland’s characters. The type of language that the characters use can definitely leave people out. It makes it difficult for others to join a conversation and eventually your friend’s circle will be limited to the few other people that you know that speak the same code language that you do. By reading Coupland’s work, I did get a feeling that the characters that he had were isolated from everyone else, because no one else could understand them and were classified as “loners” in my opinion.

Module III- Final Draft Essay

Cardiology

For this assignment, I chose Medicine as my main topic and within medicine there are many important fields of study, buy none is more important than cardiology. Cardiology is the medical study of the structure, function, and disorders of the heart. For my career path, I definitely want to pursue this field, because every since I was little, I wanted to learn more and more about the heart and its functions. I was very intrigued by the studies of the heart, which has lead me wanting to pursue the field of cardiology. I chose to talk about three main journals, which highlighted many important facts about the heart and its functions that in my opinion and that most people need to know to about in our world.

The first article I read was titled “Chronic heart failure” from the journal, The Lancet written by Gregg C Fonarow. In this article, efficacy and safety of the statin rosuvastatin in patients with heart failure was investigated. There was an experiment done in which, 326 patients of ages 18 yrs. or older with chronic heart failure were enrolled into New York Heart Association. These individuals were given placebos, which have no pharmacological effect, but given to satisfy a patient, who supposes it to be a medicine. As long as the patient think there taking medicine that is helping them get better, they will continue to use it, even though its all in their head about the medicines effects, in this case it’s the placebos, which have no pharmaceutical association with real medicine. There were two groups, one was given placebos and one was given normal medicine over the course of one year. The findings showed that both groups had similar recovery patterns, even though one of the groups wasn’t given any real medicine at all. When I read this I was alarmed, because I could never think that a placebo could potentially serve as real medicine. So, from reading this article I definitely got a different understanding on how even placebos can serve as real medicine, when it comes to heart associated illnesses.

The second article, I read was titled “Sudden cardiac arrest associated with early repolarization”, from the journal The New England Journal of Medicine written by Nicolas derval. From reading this article, I learned that early repolarization is a common electrocardiographic finding that is generally considered to be benign. What this means is that if you have repolarization the early stages of this disease are very gentle and non- harming, but as time goes by this disease becomes very harmful. This article also explains that in an experiment in which there were 206 case subjects at 22 centers who were resuscitated after cardiac arrest and these individuals were reviewed and there was data taken from the conditions they were in. The control group consisted of 412 subjects without heart disease, who were matched for age, sex, race, and level of physical activity. Results showed that early repolarization was more frequent in case subjects with idiopathic ventricular fibrillation than in control subjects. Idiopathic ventricular fibrillation is a condition in which there is uncoordinated contraction of the cardiac muscle of the ventricles in the heart, making them tremble rather than contract properly.
Among the individuals studied, those with early repolarization were more likely to be male and to have a history of syncope or sudden cardiac arrest during sleep than those without early repolarization. So, after reading this article, I learned about early repolarization and how it can affect the heart.

The third article, I read was titled “Risk Prediction of Coronary Heart Disease”, from the journal, The American Journal of Cardiology, written by Kevin McGeechan MBiostat. In this article, I learned that recent studies showed that retinal vascular signs like quantitative retinal vascular caliber were associated with increased risk of incident coronary heart disease. Also, I learned how retinal vascular caliber added to the prediction of coronary heart disease. The study in this article restricted its individuals to people without diabetes, because current treatment guidelines for the prevention of CHD conclude that people with diabetes have high risk of damage, when conducting the
“Prediction of Coronary Heart Disease” study. So, if we can predict coronary heart diseases very early in their development the chances of curing these diseases can greatly increase, because we will be able to kill these viruses, while their still maturing.

So, in conclusion I talked about three main journals, which highlighted many important facts about the heart and its functions that in my opinion and that most people need to know to about in our world. After reading these articles, my understanding of how the heart functions has greatly increased. I learned terms in this article that I never knew and wouldn’t have learned in years until I went to medical school. From reading these articles, I was even more inspired to learn about all the functions of the human heart.

Module III- My revisions from the Rough draft to the final draft

After I looked at how people responded to my rough draft, I decided to change up a few things to improve the quality of the paper. I changed up quite a few things from my rough draft. Since, I had already written the paper in the rough draft, I had a solid foundation to work with. I made some grammatical changes in the paragraphs, because many different people told me that I needed to fix the grammar, so I took their advice and I did my best to make as many positive grammatical changes as I could.
In this paper I had also many run on sentences in the rough draft and I had very long sentences, so I did my best to fix those minor problems, while still trying to keep the paper flow nicely from sentence to sentence and paragraph to paragraph. I had already put in many facts into the rough draft, but I still decided to insert more information into the final draft to provide as much positive and negative information as I could to the reader that I learned from doing this paper.
In my final draft, I fixed added some definitions to words that otherwise would be hard to understand. I also changed up my thesis statement, so people could agree or disagree with it, before it was just a one sided statement in my rough draft. In my final draft, I also added in my thesis statement to my conclusion. I also created a word-cited page, which I didn’t have in my rough draft. So, these were the main changes that I made to make my final essay way better than the rough draft.

A 500-word blog post that responds to another article

MySpace and Facebook
The article that I chose to do my blog entry on was MySpace and Facebook: Applying the Uses and Gratifications Theory to Exploring Friend-Networking Sites. By reading this article I learned many things. Most importantly I learned how MySpace and Facebook have changed the lives of millions of people of all ages. Before friend networking websites existed, mostly everyone used emails and instant messaging for.
The article points out that MySpace and Facebook are two friend-networking that are very important in the lives of high school and college students. It has been estimated that MySpace has over20 million registered users, with a sign-up rate of over 230,000 users per day, 7 and Facebook was estimated to have approximately 9.5 million users as
Of September 2006.8 these networking sites have number of features that allow individuals to communicate with others. Both of these sites allows its users to post information about them, post pictures, and leave messages for friends. These sites allow their users many different styles of communication. The different types of communication are very important; because they keep the young generation entertained and if you can keep their attention then your business will prosper.
The article talks about how there was a study done on a group of students in which when students arriving to the study section, they were given a two-part packet to complete. The first page contained only one question, “Do you have a My-Space or Facebook account? Students responded by checking yes or no to this question.
Part I of the packet was filled out by students who had MySpace or Facebook. There were four sections in this part. Section 1 asked the students general questions about how long they had been involved in these sites. In section 2 students were asked to for what reasons did they use the sites. In section 3 students why doesn’t everyone have accounts on these sites? The fourth and final section of Part I obtained information including sex, age, and ethnicity.
Part II of the packet, completed by students didn’t have MySpace or Facebook account, also contained four sections. Section 1 asked students general information about why they did not have a MySpace or Facebook account. Section 2 had students indicate the reasons for not having an account, for example was it because they didn’t have many friends? In section 3, students were asked to predict why other students would have accounts on these sites. The final section of Part II obtained information, including sex, age, and ethnicity.
The results of the study indicated that 87.1% of students said they had a friend-networking account online. The article states that because of spring semester there was an increase in the number of participants having accounts and that the same study conducted with primarily freshman in the fall semester would have lower percentage. Most students said that they had had their accounts for 7 to 24 months, extending back past the start of the fall semester. The article also states that it is impossible to note the number of college students using these sites and the amount of time per day students spend on these friend-networking sites. Overall, results suggest students spend almost 3hours per day either on their accounts or someone else’s account.

ModuleII Essay

Cell Phones
Cellular phones have been on the market for over 14 years and the cellular Telephone Industry Association (CTIA) estimates over 51 million users across the country. Due to the tremendous increase in popularity of cellular phones, many questions are surfacing concerning safety, health and environmental issues. Cell phones are a very important part of our society today. Everyone from students, businessmen to a stay at home mom rely heavily on cell phones every single day to insure protection of their families, friends and businesses. Cell phones give us many advantages and disadvantages. In my opinion cell phones do more good for our civilization than bad.
According to Hans Geser Cell phones have not interested many sociologists are trying to disconnect us from the social part of what life has to offer. “The telephone has interested very few sociologists, because it is too exclusively connected with the very lowest level of social life” said, Hans Geser. This is a very strong point that Geser made because no longer do we have to meet face to face with people in order to discuss potential business deals or just to keep in touch with people in our communities. We have become so reliant on cell phones that we no longer for the most part go to people’s houses to talk with them or discuss business matters; we just make phone calls and do everything over the phone. So where is the social face to face conservation that enhances the communication between different individuals?

Today million dollar investments and deals are made right over the phone with people from different countries. Businessmen exchange million’s of dollars without even looking at the face of whom there trading with. All they know is that the company does very well in that particular country, so they just invest in it. If things keep going as they are, then one day we may not have any social gatherings at all, because it is so convenient to do everything over the phone, and saving time.
One of the advantages of cell phones discussed in the article by Hens Geser, says that Cell phones have strengthened ties among people. “Despite its technical capacity for making any individuals immediately accessible to each other, the phone has nevertheless contributed to strengthening ties among people already familiar with each other” said Hens Geser. I agree with this statement made by Geser, because with the help of Phones people, who already know each other can talk with one another everyday to maintain strong bonds of relationship with one another. It is because of phones that relatives from different countries and Maintain a strong bond with one another by talking to each other everyday. I am originally from India, when my family moved here 8 years ago, we left behind many relatives of ours. We were able to keep in touch with them by using phones, without hearing our relative’s voices; we may have lost touch with them over all these years. So from my opinion cell phones do more good for our communities than bad.

Most media reports would have you believe that research studies on the negative health effects of cell phones use are few and far between. Many reports on the health risks of cell phones have been published over the last few decades. A study led by Dr Agarwal, Ph.D summarizes some of the researched health consequences of the microwave radiation we are exposed to through cell phone use. “Cell phones expose humans to wavelengths at very dangerous levels that could ultimately result in human DNA strand breaks and also in the reduction of melatonin, which is a hormone produced in the brain by the pineal gland from the amino acid tryptophan” Dr Agarwal Ph.D.
The use of cell phones has also been related to Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is a brain disorder named for German physician Alois Alzheimer, who first described it in 1906. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive and fatal brain disease as many as 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer's destroys brain cells, causing problems with memory, thinking and behavior severe enough to affect work, lifelong hobbies or social life. Alzheimer’s gets worse over time, and it is fatal. Today it is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. So, cell phones even with all the advantages they offer humans can be very destructive to the human body.

Cell phones are very important in our society and will remain important for many years to come, because they have much to offer to the human race. Adults and Students of all ages today are already very amused by cell phones, because they allow many different forms of communications with one another. Not only can we use the phones to talk with one another, but today we can also text messages back and forth with one another saving time. It is just not the teenagers that use texting to drastic measures, but also the adults today that manage many businesses or have many responsibilities also use texting on drastic measures to insure the safety of their businesses, families and friends. Essentially in my opinion everything breaks down to saving time and efficiency. Cell phones offer both and that’s why they are so popular within our society and will remain important for generations to come.
So, in conclusion cell phones offer many advantages and disadvantages to humans. But if we can overlook some of the defaults in the cell phones, we will see that life without cell phones wouldn’t be the same. In our society today everything if about saving time and cell phones allow us to save time and have communication with anyone from anywhere. This is exactly why cell phones will remain in our lives until the day we die and will be passed on to oncoming generations. Cell phone is a device that has been created with no end. So, overall in my opinion cell phones do more good for humans than bad.

Cell Phone Experiment

Cell Phone Experiment

Who: College Students
What: Cell Phone Removal
When: two Classes
Where: two different Classrooms
Why: Mental Analysis of Cell phones

College students rely very much on their digital devices to keep them connected with the world. None of those devices is more important than the cell phone’s they have with them 24 hours a day. We will be conducting an experiment in which, we will have two separate classrooms, one room the students are allowed to keep their cell phones for one hour and the other room the students get their cell phones taken away from them for one hour. After the rooms are divided up into the control group and the experimental group, we will take each of the student’s numbers in order to call them later on. After the numbers have been acquired each of their cell phones will be placed in front of the room, where they can see them and know that it is there cell phone ringing, when we call each of the cell phones from another room. There will be multiple cameras placed in both the rooms to record each of the student’s reactions as their phone rings.

As time goes on in the classrooms we expect the control group room to be very happy and satisfied and the experimental group to be very upset and frustrated. Overall, most students will find the situation very uncomfortable. At the end of the class period, we will ask both groups of students to answer a few questions describing how they felt during the experiment.
After seeing how the students answered the questions, we would see the different responses between the students, who got to keep their cell phones as oppose to students, who got their cell phones taken away. The results should indicate that students, who got to keep their cell phones, will be much happier than the students their cell phones taken away.

Future of Teenagers?

Question #2
Future of Teenagers?
In our society today teenagers are strongly criticized of being overly excessive on electronic usage. These individuals are referred to as “tech-savvy” by many people except by Vaidhyanathan. Vaidhyanathan believes that the young people of our society are not becoming way too dependent on electrical devices for means of communication between each other and education. In my opinion, having a form of communication over the computer and phones with other students is a great tool but if our society doesn’t change our dependent on technology for education means, than one day there will be no schools and all the education will be done over the computers from home just like this Comp106 class.
Vaidhyanathan is a professor, who has seen from first hand experience what teenagers go through to get their education. Not every student has the economic means to gain access to certain devices that help with the educational process. These students are the ones that are left to adapt to devices, which are less helpful than what the rich kids can afford according to Vaidhyanathan. So to create some sort of equilibrium, when it comes to interaction between the high and low class teenagers today major companies have created websites like facebook and myspace, which allow teenagers to interact and exchange information. This is essentially a system, which was created for one-size-fits-all, no purchases needed to be made to become a member of these websites.
Not all teenagers wanted to create accounts on facebook and myspace, but they had to because it was the only way to communicate with people of their own age and similar backgrounds of education and race. So these teenagers adapted to the changing technological dependent society just so they wouldn’t be left out. So if we were to assume that this is a one-size-fits-all and exactly, what kids were looking for would be a false statement. Because there are many teenagers, who didn’t even have a computer, but they had to adapt and buy a computer, just so they have a form of communication with their peers.
In my opinion, I do agree with the assertion that Vaidhyanathan makes because it is true and does relate directly to many teenagers. I myself remember when facebook was first introduced to me by my friends, when I was in my senior year in High School. Since I would no longer be seeing some of my closest friends because they would be going to away to different colleges, facebook was the only way to keep in touch with them. Fortunately for me I had the economic means to have a computer and other devices that I use today to keep in touch with old friends and communicating with professors and students in my classes.
From my point of view facebook was a great idea and worked out for me. But you have consider other teenagers, that don’t have computers and can’t use facebook to talk with their old friends on a regular basis and can’t use facebook to communicate with students in their classes over class material and the only form of communication they have is the phone, which is not entirely helpful, when it comes to long discussions on class material. So this one-size-fits-all system didn’t work out for some students and they ended up having to adapt and work extra just so they could afford to buy a computer and then ended up paying other companies like Comcast, just so they could have internet services on their computer.
Education is a very important part of our lives today and since there are new options other than going to directly to school today, the High School’s sand Colleges of today are facing a tough future if things continue as they are. Technology has created an outlet for many people who can’t go to school because they don’t have cars and gas prices are too high. Technology has allowed people to pursue their careers right from their homes, because there are online degrees now offered. In which the people don’t even have to leave their homes to get four year of education and a degree. I believe Vaidhyanathan would agree with me on the fact that if were able to get a four year education from home today, 50 years in the future we might not have Schools, because why buy a car and waste gas money to travel to a school, when you can get the same level of education from your couch. So, in conclusion I disagree with Vaidhyanathan on his claims about how kids are alright and there getting the right amount of technological means of communication and education. As I have argued in this following essay, I do believe that there is much inequality, when it comes to online education and communication between different classes of students and if things don’t change kids will become way too dependent on technology and we might not have School in the future, because kids will want to pursue their career’s right from their homes using online universities, which allow you to get four year degrees from home.

FINAL VISUAL ADVOCACY PROJECT 2 PAGE ESSAY

For this visual advocacy project, I chose to talk about the true Natives of United States of America, which are the American Indians. I composed together a six-slide PowerPoint presentation in which I described how the American Indians are being threatened today because of oil, uranium and other needs of America.
In the PowerPoint I talked about how the Native Americans were the first to occupy the United States of America. It is said that the ancestors of Native Americans came from Siberia over the Bering land bridge to occupy lands over 40 to 50,000 years ago of years ago. Indians are the true first natives of America.
Today the Native Americans are being threatened to be taken away from their lands because of uranium and oil drillings. The ohuka tribes have lived in Alaska for thousands of years and have survived using traditional hunting and harvesting skills. Because George W. Bush has approved off shore drilling the ohukan’s are being threatened for their well being because the drilling will destroy many of the natural resources that the ohukan’s use to survive.
It is because of American Indians that we celebrate certain holidays like Thanksgiving. The food that we eat on this holiday is traditional American Indian food. Indians ate turkeys and made mashed potatoes to celebrate special occasions. 60% of the American diet is Indian food. If we destroy the lands that the Indians currently occupy for oil, we will take away a part of the Indian tradition that has been carried out for hundreds of years. So we need to say no to offshore drilling, because if u look at the long term picture is it worth destroying the natural habitat and killing thousands for animals for just oil. Aren’t there other resources that we can se like electric cars, so we can save the environment and save the Indians and their traditions, so their oncoming generations can see how traditional Indians lived and hunted.
There are many Indian communities that are being threatened, because of not just the American needs for oil, but also the American need for clear white toilet paper. Many manufactures of clear white toilet paper dump thousands of pounds of waste dioxin into the lakes of Indian communities, which they depend on for fish. Dioxin is essentially the dirty water that is left over after making the toilet paper clear white. Once the dioxin is in the water it gets into the fish, which the Indians eat. An excess of dioxin can lead to many diseases and ultimately death. There is a solution to saving these lakes, if we use black or brown toilet paper instead of white, there will be much less dioxin produced and less dioxin equals better health for everyone.
So in conclusion the reason I chose to talk about the Native Americans is that their lively hood is being threatened today for oil, uranium and many other unnecessary American needs. Their environment is being destroyed by putting dioxin into the lakes they fish in and by drilling for oil right beside where they reside today. So if we don’t do anything about this a great group of traditional communities will disappear forever.

This is a song written by a very big artist. What I took away from this song is a guy who had been struggling his whole life to make something of himself. He always knew he was special different from everyone else. So he put his life story of coming up in the world into thing song, basically he says that he was brought up in the city lookin up at the buildings and he wondered how it would be like to look down on the world from above knowing that he had made it. So once his sold millions of records, he now looks back at the city he lived in saying “I put on for my city” basically meaning that Im here and I made it and im gonna put on a show that no one will ever forget.
The design that I chose was to basically mix everything up in the song and king of make a little fuzzy and unclear. I put the design referring to the artist life at the beginning the song if simple and easy and in the middle it gets rough and hard to understand and than at the end it becomes clear. This is just like the artist life, when the artist was young his life was simple and clear and as he grew up he started to see how tough and unclear the world is and how sometimes nothing makes sense. The ending of this design basically shows that things are still not easy but there much more clear and understandable at this point of the artist’s life.

Visual Advocacy

The topic that I have chosen to write about in this advocacy project is remembering the traditional customs and religious practices of American Indians. What I will do is put together a slide show with A 6-photo & caption series, 6 – 12 cell comic strip, 30-second Flash animation, 5-page Web site, 6-slide PowerPoint using a variety of different resources that are available. I believe that the customes and rituals of the american indians have been forgotten and need to be reintroduced into our society.
In this project I will display a variey of different customes that the indians had and that they still practice today. I will also show how the indians religious practices are being threatened today by our society. I feel that our society today has lost our touch with the american indians. It is because of the american indians that we celebrate Thanksgiving. It is the indians that introduced eating turkey on thanksgiving and celebrating the holiday. So In conclusion my Visual advocacy project will reintroduce the indian customes and religious practices. There are still many tribes today that are being threatened for their land, whiche they have occupied for hundreds of years. I believe that people need to realize what exactly is occuring on this earth, because of the United States drilling in alaska and searching for uranium and making massive wells to drill for uranium on indian soil that is threating there safety and the safety of the generatins of indians to come.
